Nargis,
ReplyDeleteYou have mentioned 'forms' of literature. What about the 'soul' of literature? What consists of the the real worth of literature?
Any material be it written or spoken can be considered as 'Literature'. It describes creative writing and technical or scientific works. It is related with imagination and society. Literature is a mirror of the society. Literature is based on social language, culture and tradition. We understand literature through author's words. Literature is based on mythological, socio-logical and historical approach. Literature is universal and it is connected to us. The literature shows that the world is wider than their imaginative world but at the same time, it is just like their own world. Timelessness, permanency are the characteristics of literature.' 'What is literature?" challenges anyone who writes as if literature could be extricated from History or Society. Prose is the ordinary form of written Language.
